Introvert Or Extrovert?

So time once more for a question encore. This one people could probably guess with ease though. The question is Introvert or Extrovert, as if the post title didn’t give that away, which are you?

As I sit here and write with one cat beside me and one cat behind me, introvert easily wins out. I like my own company way more than that of tons of people. They can be very annoying, especially when alcohol is involved. Sadly, that is all anyone seems to want to do here, is drink, not that there is much else to do most days.

Although I lean more toward introvert I can be an extrovert with ease. Especially if I have a job where it requires it. Hey, I can do most anything if I’m getting paid enough. I can even pretend to be PC. I can be bought, maybe not cheap, but I can be.

I just have no need for conversations about the weather, drunk fools, talking about food, what dumb celebrities do or what sports team did this or that. I can look outside and see the weather, drunk fools annoy me, as said, I don’t eat much, celebrities are only that way because people make them out to be more than they are, and that sports team lost because the other team played better. Simple as can be, no need to dwell on it. Instead I’d rather spend such time writing.

With so many ideas in my head introvert wins out. Don’t need people around to write and I can write away any day. Could you have guessed that? Which one are you? Chances are if you are blogging you are probably more introvert or doing it for exposure. Then again I know a few extrovert bloggers. To each their own though.

Enjoy life, forget the strife.

I’m sure all of us writers will select introvert. I enjoy people and like to mingle, but the comfort of my own home and solitude is just as inviting.

I think I could be easily classified as introvert, too, because I’d rather be home, or on my bike, or out taking pictures, than partying. I’m not much of a social creature, except for on my blog, and my blog’s the newspaper ink still coursing through my blood.

Yep, I’m another introverted writer. Hmm, that sounds sort of painful.

I would have taken you as an extrovert since you have such a sense of humor. You sound a lot like me though. And like you I’ll happily be totally extroverted if the pay is good enough. Why, I’d even be a clown at a political gathering–that is if any openings came up. Seems like that job has more than enough people doing it.

I can be an extrovert as the humor can flow, but I’d much rather be at home and not listen to people talk about food or the weather haha. Pay can make me do a lot though. True, not sure they need clowns.

I like my own company better too. And I don’t drink so I definitely don’t like that scene.

So does that mean the cat is an introvert too? 😛

I’d say so as he doesn’t get along with others very well

I’m a little bit of both. It depends on the situation. But, either way, I don’t like big crowds. I like smaller more intimate groups, and being alone too long makes me feel blue.

Great answer!! I tend to be introverted and watch people when I’m out at functions etc. You’re right about the alcohol..people get a little entertaining when they have too much! Lol.

There are lots of conversations I don’t have the time or patience for whether I’m introverted or not, but since I happen to be, it’s a good excuse to tell people I don’t feel like talking.

I think the cats are extroverts. They like to stir up trouble, but I’m with you on reasons to not bother having conversation with the bozos out there.

Thanks for sharing this great insight into the introvert-extrovert dynamic. I recently shared my own experiences regarding the perils / pleasures of an extroverted partner. Let’s just hope he forgives me! http://catehogan.com/enter-mr-extrovert/
