The Giant Litterbox

I bet those who know the cat can guess what the question of the month is after I used that as a title, right? If not I will repeat it here just for you.

“What’s your favorite beach?”

As the title shows, after scooping cat crap for so long, beaches kinda remind me of a giant litterbox. That and I have seen people with dogs that let them crap there and not pick it up. Worse than that they bury it in the sand before they walk away. Imagine getting that between your toes.

But as for beaches, I have enjoyed them as a kid. But just to go and lie on a beach? Pffft screw that. I would be bored to death in an hour, tops. I suppose I am spoiled though as there is probably a good 50 beaches within a few hours drive at most. And where I am now there is like four that I can get to in 20 minutes at most. So maybe if I never seen them so much or had easy access I would be more of a beach person? I doubt it, but you never know.

That and you know they leave you with sand everywhere. Sand just should not be in some places. But if I had to pick of all the ones I have been to, I guess it would be Beach Meadows or Summerville Beach.

What a long winded answer, huh? Do you like beaches at your sea? Can you sit on them for hours and not get bored? Never saw the appeal in that at all at my hall. But to each their own indeed.

Enjoy life, forget the strife.

How cool that you have so many beaches so close! I don’t know that having easy access makes them boring after a while; I had easy access to mountains when I was a kid, and I still can’t get enough of them. Every.

I LOVE beaches. But I never just sit, like on a towel tanning. No way! I like to hike, take pictures, collect smooth round rocks (which then become snowflake rocks for my garden) and listen to the waves. I’ve camped on three different beaches, and listing to the waves lapping the beach all night long is heavenly.

Doing that makes it more fun indeed. But just sitting there sure isn’t for me. Yep, tons of them around here.

I’m not much for beaches either. Too many beached whales if you know what I mean…

Another reason to avoid them indeed

I was never one to sit on the sand for hours either. Our family plays in the waves, looks for shells, and builds lots of stuff in the sand. Then it’s time to hit the showers.

Way more fun than just sitting there indeed

Yeah, beaches can be pretty dirty and the water…. I can’t just lie in the sun either though I’ve done a lot of reading on the beach when I do go. I hate the sand thing.

Plenty of drawbacks, the sand thing is a big one haha

I admit that I have to be in a mood to go to the beach and deal with: the sand, the wildlife, the tourists, the noise, and the heat. When I do go, though, I make a point to have fun. Body board for about fifteen minutes, sun dry while reading for about 20 minutes, rinse and change, then eat ice cream before heading home.

Yeah, sun-tanning is not for everyone. For me, like for you, it’s boring to just lie there and do nothing.
My post on my favorite beach is finally live, if a week late: https://olgagodim.wordpress.com/2016/08/08/question-of-the-month-august-2016/

Boring it is indeed. But some enjoy it, power to them.
