Time To Retire?

Geez, now they are asking when I retire. I think I have quite a ways to go before that is going to even be a possibility. If it ever will. But I’ll play along.

“What does retirement look like for you?”

It has very little looks at the moment. But even if it did have any looks, would I ever fully retire? Nope. I’ll always be blogging and writing some way, as long as my one arms stays good. I’d even consider picking up hours somewhere fun part-time.

Now if money fell from the trees, yeah right, would I work any 9-5 nonsense? Nope. I’d retire from that in an instant. I’d retire from all the crap that comes along with a 9-5 job and anything mind numbing. But will I retire from everything and do nothing? No thank you. I don’t want to become old, dumb, fat, icky, gross, whatever else haha not into it.

The mind has to be kept going. Where I’m working now, it is the highlight of a fews day to come in, sit, and yap about such useless nonsense that you want to beat your head against the wall. That is the extent of their retirement. And they do it every damn day. I mean EVERY day too. Sometimes twice a day. If I EVER become like that, you have my permission to put me down.

I’ll write away, enjoy life how I want to and keep on keeping on. Don’t care what age I am. That is how it will be until I croak. You won’t find me sitting in some place yapping about the good old days.

What about you? Ready to get dumb and fat in retirement? Any big plans?

Enjoy life, forget the strife.

You are so funny! But that’s intentional, right? I just read a news story earlier this week about working stiffs who said they’d keep working if they won the lottery because they like their jobs.

The job I have right now is pretty awesome, so I am not eyeing a retirement per se, but I would love to move away from the metro, the big city. Much further away than I already am. 🙂 My dream is to retire, but keep doing a job I enjoy, in the country, way far away from big cities!

haha I try to be funny at least.

Pffft this working stiff would be out the door like I had a rocket up my butt if I won the lottery. Way far away from the big cities sounds good to me. Tired of the stupid city crap, glad I’m out of it.

It doesn’t seem all that long ago when I was thinking like you are. Man, that retirement came faster than I expected and quite by surprise. You have a good attitude about it all. An absolutely sedentary life will come in the grave so no point in living it while you’re living.

Nope, the grave and nothing will sure come soon enough, who needs it now.

My retirement won’t involve doing nothing. I can only do that for a day, tops.

I think lots of people in my parents’ generation thought retirement doing nothing. Now people retire and do the things they want to do even if it’s just a different job. Money from trees would be nice.

Yep, can just be another job. Simple as that.

I hear what you’re saying. I don’t think I’d ever want to just sit around doing nothing, but I’m ready any day to leave my 9-5.

Yep, the 9-5 I’d ditch right now with ease too.
