The Laziness of Luck!

Luck would have it there is a post today. It has nothing to do with the fact that I stuck my fingers against the keyboard and hit the keys. It has nothing to do with me logging in and going to the correct spot to type this post. Nope. None of those things count. It is all due to luck.

That black cat over there? That is bad luck.

Luck comes in threes. You won a gift card. Wow. That means you’ll win two more things. Should go buy a lottery ticket because luck is on your side.

Two things broke so now one more will because that is the way luck works.

Luck works? Isn’t that what one would call an oxymoron? Or maybe just take out the oxy part and leave the moron.

Each one were actual things I heard recently. Many know I think luck is a figment of one’s imagination, and that’s putting it nicely, but how can anyone believe such crap these days?

A black cat crossed the road and therefore you will have bad luck? Wouldn’t it be more bad luck for you to stupidly fear the cat and eye it and then run into a telephone pole? Wasn’t the cat, it was your stupid self. Whoops, figment ruined.

Comes in threes? Did four just decide to take a vacation? Five must be ticked off. Did that lottery ticket win? Nope, guess two took a vacation along with four.

Things break in threes? “They” say it so it has to be true. “They” are never wrong. So only three things will break in your entire life? Wow, you are sooooo lucky, or not and you die very young. Can’t go further than three after all.

I think I just proved those dumb, not that I needed to, but after listening to one repeat crap about luck over and over and over again, it just popped out. Actually it typed out, lucky me couldn’t get it to magically appear on screen. I guess I need a better book of spells. Luck = Laziness isn’t working.

Are you a believer in luck? Do you avoid ladders and black cats? You’d probably have better odds of out running a train than getting bad luck from a cat or getting through to such umm simple people.

Enjoy life, forget the strife.

I don’t believe in coincidences either.
However, I do tend to sneeze in threes.

Hi Pat – things do tend to come in threes … not sure why … I sneeze, but more than in threes! I would say a black cat brings me good luck … but I don’t have one now! I don’t believe as such … just sometimes things work that way … true or false … coincidental or not … life goes on!! Cheers Hilary

Life sure keeps on a trucking no matter what indeed.
