A One And….Run!

A nut ball found out that I write at our sea and they wanted me to go join their writer’s group. Scary would probably be the right term to use for it. Hopefully none read this as they may suffocate me in my sleep. Sadly the cat is scared of his own shadow so he won’t protect me.

There was the typical one you’d expect:

I don’t have an idea. I don’t have the time. But I want to write. How do you do it?

You know how that goes. If you don’t, you haven’t been listening to the cat for very long.

Then there was the stick up their butt rock lover:

Concentration rock formations forms…

I can’t. Gives me a headache just thinking about it. Used so many big words you’d think you were at a national spelling bee. Did I mention they were a poet? Hence the stick up their butt. Spurted things out that made no sense but left everyone nodding with joy. Kinda like abstract art.

Then there was the too close for comfort:

We won’t even go there. Instead we’ll go far far away. She stuck to many like glue. Getting waaaaay too close. She’d sit on your lap if you let her…and crush your legs in the process.

The other few seemed normal enough, but they were there for years and haven’t even put out a single word. So hmmm, more of a wannabe group they had me thinking rather fast.

I think I’ll stick with online and leave the real world to the stick up their butt and too close for comfort types.

Have you ever gone to a real life writer’s group? Could make a good story idea, huh? Wannabe Writers Group From Hell! The title sets it up rather well.

Enjoy life, forget the strife.

Do high school English classes count??? Ha ha! I’ve been in book clubs, and those are fun because I learn what readers remember and enjoy. I’ve also enjoyed crochet, quilt and cycling groups both online and off. Photography groups, though, seem like they might make the perfect match for the writing groups…

So I take it photography groups are bad as well. haha they may be worse because pictures can be taken that you may not want to be.
