Planning Away!

I plan on posting today. That sounds like a plan, right? That is one step in place. Geez, going all steps makes me sound like Old One Eye. I better get on with the question before you start stepping away. The IWSG question this month is:

What steps have you taken or plan to take to put a schedule in place for your writing and publishing?

Are you trying to get me to admit that I’m a thief? I’m not going to tell you if I stole steps. I’m not sure how or why one would steal steps, but I’m not planning on telling you any time soon. Maybe if one took their own steps though they would not be able to leave home. That would make it easier to find time to plan and write.

Am I beating around the bush? Oh, how that could be taken so wrong. What? My mind is on a roll. Rolling right down my not so stolen steps.

Is there a point to my nitpicking today? Yep. Maybe not very easy to see, but it is there. The point is that I can do this random mind fart stuff, go take a nap, go walk the mutts, go scoop the poop, go play with the poop machines, go…you get the point…and I will still have my plan in place. Why? Because I stay ahead of the 8-ball.

I already have blog posts done for the cat for the entire year. I already have five novels written. Two in last stages of editing and others just first draft stuff. So there is no pressure, no nothing. And in order to keep that I keep on plugging away. That way I stay ahead. If life wants to get in the way, so be it. No having to play catch up.

That’s my plan. Stay ahead and away we go. How about you? Do you have a plan? Is my lack of a plan a plan? It does take some doing to get ahead, but once there, easy peasy.

Enjoy life, forget the strife.

I have alternate plans for the numerous times the main plan goes awry. I often have Plan C for when A and B don’t cooperate. Sometimes there’s even a Plan D…

Happy new year!
