Quittin’ Time

Should I quit while I’m ahead? I guess not as this post is being put to bed. It is in bed without ever going in bed. That has to cause brain pain to those not in the know. Maybe I really should have quit while I’m ahead. Bah, on with the answering of the IWSG question. Of which I am now an admin. Did I forget to mention that?

Did you ever say “I quit”? If so, what happened to make you come back to writing?

Have I ever said it? Sure, probably about a thousand times in the run of a week. At least in my head. Oh, you are talking about writing? You need to be more specific. No. The “Writers” part of Insecure Writers Support Group wasn’t specific enough. Shouldn’t I be telling myself that since I’m an admin? See how I slipped that in twice?

I just made you eyeroll and think I really should have quit, huh? Got you in the quittin’ mood too. Bet Snowcatcher would really wish I quit using quittin’ that way. But nope, not gonna. Don’t wanna.

Can you tell I’m still having fun? So yeah, no quitting has ever been said when concerning writing. But marketing, yeah. I “retired” from that for a while. Sometimes my “I quit” comes out as “pound sand” but that is just a more colorful way of saying it.

I’m sure there will come a time where life dictates I do less writing. 365 days a year blogging may not last forever. But to ever quit fully? Nah, can’t see it. Now it is about time I get to a quittin’ here. Ever think of throwing in the towel for writing at your sea?

Enjoy life, forget the strife.

If you don’t quit, you’ll have a thousand books to your name when you die.

Quittin’ isn’t that far from quiltin’, you know. Kind of a fun word, if you ask me. I do not plan on quittin’ quiltin’ for many a year, but I did quit journalism. Three times. Never looked back after starting my blog. I could see going back one day, but I’m too unsettled with MSM these days to even consider it.

Yeah, mainstream media is full of crap. Wouldn’t want to fall into that trap.
