The Quest Of It All

These are the first words, besides blog comments, I’ve written in a week. Well sorta anyway. Editing had me writing and changing words. You wouldn’t know it though, huh? Have to love being so far ahead with the cat. When you have 6 novels to edit, being ahead pays off. I have 3 down and 3 to go.

Anyway, I read this passage when editing book 8 of my series and figured all could relate, plus it works as a post idea and a little plug. Win all around. So why not.

“The quest of life haunts us all. Whether you realize it or not we are all on some sort of quest. Whether it is to cure all the world’s ills or to survive the shit storm life has decided to dump on you. Each task is a quest to beat something, regain something or create something. But with each quest we can find new paths that we never thought we would take. One quest leads into another and before you realize it you have a whole new set of variables on your hands. And with each undertaking there are those you are not taking. Sadly, it is a common trait of man to wonder about those quests not undertaken. No matter what you have gained or done, somehow the what if of it all creeps into your mind. There are so many options in our short lives that it is hard not to wonder. What if there were no what ifs? What if the life you have right now was the planned one and no other quest existed? Would you still wonder or give up on it and stay within your reality? A question only each of us can answer and one to ponder as my quest continues.”

Enjoy the quest and just try your best!

You are a writing machine.
Fortunately I don’t think there is one set path. We have freewill and it can lead us anywhere.
However, endless quests is the truth. Hate it when one project leads to five just to finish it.

Just have to get $$$ to have covers done for the other 5 and then out they can come.

Yeah, I think we have freewill too and can go where we want in life, but the quests there are many. The one where it leads to 5 others can annoy indeed.

I agree with Alex. You are such a writing machine! I think quests can be a good thing, as long as you don’t have so many going at one time that you get discouraged and pitch them all. 🙂

haha could see that happening to a few, as they start many and finish none.
